Idiot Box Faking Real..

There was that time when an unheralded attempt, an untested concept took the viewership of a young channel named Star Plus to the horizons.Yup,that reality game show,Kaun Banega Crorepati,the young child of 'Who wants to be a millionaire' changed drastically the way we took to the idiot box.The new kid on the block,REALITY SHOWS ,stemmed from the gargantuous success of KBC,took wings as it spread across music,game shows,stand-up-comedy shows to some really absurd concepts of getting married 'inky-pinky-ponky-po' way.Indian Idol received mega fame and it was then that reality music shows were hailed as actual platforms to find out phenomenol talents from the masses.And then the flood came.We were served with a plethora of shows,unlimited hosts,even more judges,and an array of contestants.Seems like the entire country got talent to make it big!!

As fickle as the indian audiences can be,it was not long that these started receiving major flak for their faulty voting systems,framed and scripted dialogues,soap-like dramas, unfair results and on many other grounds.Recently ,i tuned into 'rahul ka swyamvar' .Though the concept of marriage on screen makes me sick to the guts but going through it daily and then through the repeated telecasts(thanks mom),i struck there and somehow i found myself there till the end gladly,as gladly as i finished 4 seasons of HIMYM in my 1st year.It was really refreshing,more than those daily soaps,the 19867 th time repeated episode of Tom & Jerry,that stupid episode of monday night Raw and the breaking news section that covered a celeb's bouncer break a glad news reporter's legs.It was amusing and compelling to see people acting and framing trying to look real and genuine!!!

Though 'REALITY ON TV' seems light years away from it,these shows make up for compelling television sometimes such as those standup comedy shows turn out to be the only odd hours when the entire family laughed their hearts out together!! Sometimes reality away from reality can prove entertaining and your reasons to hurryingly search for remote control to repeatedly tune to that box that makes you seem like an idiot.

Common knowledge always told that under the influence of alcohol, even walking on a straight line was a difficut task, let alone a curve. Common knowledge always baffled me! This thingy is coming out of my closet coz i have just started learning drums. I bet ya..a Dave Lombardo in the making!! Writing for me has undergone about-face in the past few weeks.From the times i used to envisage for long few days to gather steam and purpose to finally pen it down to now where i would just unclutter my lappy to jot down a loosely whipped piece.Thank heavens it's not going that hellacious which i dreaded of. I might as well be attempting hard from now on to stave off those fatuating digressions i get enslaved by.So, we head straight off to the real deal here,being a metal head i am,my blog ought to shed light on a fan(atic's) favs. More importantly to note,i am not a music purist coz i more so enjoy a 'not so high on quality' video rather than a xxx hz audio. Stats and lists always fascinate me for the fact stats are objective whereas lists are subjective.I present a best 20 list where the rank only helps count,no more,i tell ya!!
